Abdul Rasheed was born in 1965 in Shuntikoppa of Kodagu district. He completed MA in English from University of Mysore.

Abdul Rasheed is the honorary editor of Kenda Sampige e-magazine. He worked as the program manager in Akashavani Radio Stations at Mangalore, Shillong, Gulbarga and Mysore. He is currently employed at Akashavani Madikeri Station.
