Ahmed Nawaz Uchil

Uchila, situated on the coastal border of Kerala and Karnataka, is home to many young men who venture to the Gulf, leaving their hometowns behind. Despite the distance, they manage to preserve their language, arts, and culture while striving for professional advancement. Among them is Ahmed Nawaz, a native of Uchila in Someshwar.

Ahmed Nawaz was born and raised in 1986 to parents G Mohammed and Zohara. He received his primary education from the Government School in Someshwar Uchila and pursued his secondary education at the Government Fisheries Technical School. In 2008, he successfully graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

In 2005, Ahmad Nawaz embarked on a journey to the Gulf nation and secured a position in a prestigious company in the UAE. During his time there, he established connections with numerous dignitaries and actively participated in social service initiatives. He collaborated with various organizations dedicated to the educational and social development of the community.

Ahmad Nawaz played an active role in organizations such as Beary’s Welfare Forum Abu Dhabi, Darunnoor Abu Dhabi Unit, Mubarak Welfare Association, Afifa Friends Club, and several others. Through his involvement, he prioritized community welfare and provided significant support to initiatives such as facilitating marriages for underprivileged girls in the town and promoting children’s education.

In earlier times, Beary Kannadigas migrated to the Gulf in search of opportunities and gradually formed social networks, laying the foundation for organizations that catered to our language and culture. Over the past three to four decades, these organizations have been actively involved in philanthropic endeavors. Young individuals like Ahmad Nawaz, who arrived later, have continued this legacy of social service, providing a platform for future generations to follow. They serve as exemplary role models, inspiring youth to engage in community service and contribute to the betterment of society.
