Bearys Association of Canada
The Bearys Association of Canada was established with a core mission of uniting Beary individuals residing in Canada. Its inaugural gathering took place in Toronto, Ontario in 2022, drawing an attendance of more than 50 members. Since then, the community has grown significantly, now boasting over 100 members spanning various Canadian provinces. They actively organize around four events annually, encompassing social gatherings, sports activities, and professional development initiatives tailored to support young members navigating the Canadian job market.
The primary aim is to preserve and promote Beary language, art forms, culture, and heritage of the Bearys in Canada for the benefit of present and future generations. The Bearys Association of Canada strive for the betterment of the community and people of this region, aspiring to grow as a strong cultural organization that can make a difference.
Moreover, the community is committed to fostering entrepreneurship among Beary individuals seeking to establish themselves in Canada. Spearheaded by a dedicated organizing committee comprising several founding members, efforts are underway to formally register the group as a non-governmental organization (NGO) in Canada. Concurrently, the committee is in the process of launching the community’s official website to enhance its visibility and outreach.
With a forward-looking vision, the Bearys Association of Canada aims to evolve into a robust support system for its members, offering assistance to newcomers and facilitating networking opportunities within the Beary diaspora in Canada.
