Misriya I Pajeer
Misriya I Pajeer (M.Sc Chem) is a poet & a columnist. She served as a Lecturer at Bearys Institute of Technology, Innoli. She has a diverse range of interests including literature, linguistic science & Beary folklore.
Poetry
Misriya has authored over fifty poems which have been published in various magazines and web platforms. She has also presented her poetry at more than ten poetry events including Mysore Dasara kavigoshti-2023. Notably, in 2019, she presided over the Mahila Kavigoshti organized by the Karnataka Beary Sahithya Academy in celebration of International Women’s Day.
Column Writing
Her column titled “Ele Mareyinda” in Nyayapatha was widely acclaimed during its one-and-a-half-year run. Furthermore, Misriya contributed a Beary column “Pennelth” for Melthene Beary Magazine for a year.
Her Beary poem “Nombala” and its Kannada translation “Hennobbala Swagatha” were incorporated into the curriculum for B.Sc., B.F.N.D., and B.H.R.D. degree courses at Mangalore University.
Misriya has received more than ten literary prizes for her poems and essays. In 2022, her essay “Nercheya Koli” won the third prize in the prestigious Sudha Ugadi Essay competition.
