Muhammad Badruddin (NSUI Badruddin)

12/10/1957 – 25/08/2015

Muhammad Badruddin’s life was marked by his dedicated service to both the political arena and social causes. Born to B.H. Badruddin and Asiamma in Kallige village of Bantwala Taluk on October 12, 1957. He pursued his education with diligence, obtaining his SSLC from SAS, Bantwala, and later completing his BA degree from Saint Aloysius College, Mangalore.

His entry into politics began during his college years, as he joined the Congress party through NSUI. Over the years, he rose through the ranks within the party, holding various positions such as District Secretary, District President, State General Secretary, and State Vice President of NSUI. His commitment and contributions earned him the nickname “NSUI Badruddin.”

Beyond NSUI, he continued to serve within the Congress party, assuming roles such as State Youth Congress Vice President, State Congress Minority Unit Vice President, KPCC Member, and KPCC Secretary. Despite his involvement in party politics, Badruddin was known for his humility and lack of desire for power, focusing instead on serving the public.

Even during periods when he stepped away from party organization, Badruddin remained active in social work. Notably, he facilitated the marriages of many underprivileged girls through the Al Wafa Charitable Trust.

His passing on August 25, 2015, left behind his wife Naseema and one daughter, marking the end of a life dedicated to serving the community and advocating for social justice.
