Second son of Late Prof. P.C.M. Kunhi and Mrs. C. Mayya and grandson of Late Mr. Hajee C. Kunhi Packy and Mrs. B. Fathima and grandson of Late Mr. P.C. Kunhi Mahin Kutty and Late Mrs. Khateeja. Married to Mrs. C. Fathima Thanveer, D/o. Mr. Hajee C. Mahmood and Mrs. Aisha and blessed with 4 children namely P.C. Tabashir, P.C. Haizer, P.C. Tanzir & P.C. Tanisha.

Schooling @ Nazareth Kindergarten, Milagres School and St. Aloysius School. Was topper in S.S.L.C. exam with overall 91% marks and was also one of the toppers in IInd P.U.C. exam with overall 93.33% marks. Procured direct merit seat in both K.M.C. and K.R.E.C. Surathkal. Opted for K.R.E.C. and completed B.E.(Civil) in K.R.E.C. in 1992 with first class with distinction, securing 2nd rank in final B.E. exams and also 9th rank overall. Joined for M.Tech (I.S.) in 1992 and completed M.Tech in 1994 with first class honours.

Business & Profession

Took over as Managing Director of Peeci Group and established several new commercial and housing projects at Hampankatta, Attavar, Falnir and Kaprigudda and established Peeci Associates as a brand name.

Established Peeci Industries, an infrastructure based concrete industry in Thumbe in 1996 and then built it up into the No.1 brand in its field with I.S.O. 9008: 2015 recognition. Relocated the entire unit of Peeci Industries and Out Door Solutions to Kallapu, Mangalore in 2007 and now is the front runner in the concrete infrastructure field. Several other projects in the pipeline are ceramic tiles manufacturing plant, vitrified tiles unit, a riverside resort project. There are several other housing and commercial projects lined up with forays into educational field too. Converted the entire campus into a world class entertainment centre cum concept mall by the name of Outdoors Grand Bay launched a new Tourism initiative “I am Mangaluru” to promote the beautiful city of Mangaluru.

Social Involvement

Involved in a number of Charitable & philanthropic activities. Presently serving as Honorary Correspondent of Badria Institutions (MEA), General Secretary of Islamic Trust, Secretary of Jalal Masjid, Kaprigudda, President of Chaliyangod Jumma Masjid, Mogral, Kasaragod & Executive committee member of several committees like Masjid Taqwa, Badria Masjid, Faize Mosque & several other organizations.

Sports

Was Karnataka state player in Table Tennis. Also won Kerala state ranking Table Tennis tournament in Trichur and several other tournaments. Was Mangalore University team member for a record 7 times and also captain of the team for a record 5 times. Was member of first ever Table Tennis team to qualify for all-India inter-varsity tournament at Dibrugarh, Assam. Was D.K. district champion for 8 years running and won several other Karnataka state tournaments. Was awarded best outgoing sportsman and student from K.R.E.C. in 1994 and participated in several tournaments in Delhi, Shimla, Bangalore, Calicut, Mysore, Cochin, Hubli and other places. Also presently serving as President of D.K.T.T. Association.

Other Details

Widely travelled having visited a lot of countries like U.S.A., Germany, Belgium, France, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Singapore, U.A.E., Qatar, Bahamas to name a few and has exposure to technological advancements globally & considers humanity as the one binding force that propagates harmony between all religious, castes & creeds.
