SPORTS

Represented Kerala University Football teams during 1961-62, 1962-63 & 1963-64 and captioned the same in 1963-64.

Represented Kerala State Football Team in the Santhosh Trophy Nationals held at Madras in 1963. Athletic Champion of T.K.M. College of Engineering in 1964.

“Best Footballer Award” of Dakshina Kannada District during 1968.

Treasurer of Dakshina Kannada District Football Association in 1986.

President of Mogral sports Club, which has one of the leading football teams of Kasaragod District.

BUSINESS & INDUSTRY

  • Chairman of Peeci Group of Concerns, which is one of the pioneers in the construction of residential apartment in Mangalore. This was started in the year 1980 and has constructed more than 150 flats in Mangalore and still in the business successfully. There are some on going projects, namely Utility Royal Towers in the heart of the city of Mangalore.
  • Has got industries by name Peeci Industries and Peeci Concrete Products at Kallapu, Mangalore, which is manufacturing concrete blocks, interlocking paving tiles, decorative tiles and other concrete products.
  • Two sons P.C.Hashir & P.C.Farwaz have taken M.Tech from K.R.E.C. (presently National Institute of Technology), Surathkal, itself and are in business & Industry, Third son, P.c. Rayeez has completed his Engineering (Computer Science) at P.A.College of Engineering Mangalore.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES

  1. Member of Mangalore Agenda Task Force which was formed by the Govt. of Karnataka for the overall development of Mangalore.
  2. Chairman of the Builders’ Association of India, Mangalore Chapter for 2years from 1999-2001. This is an All India body and taking up many technical consultants to Corporation and other Government bodies.
  3. Life Member of Kanara Chamber of Commerce, Mangalore and also member of FICCI, New Delhi.
  4. Member of “Samanvaya” which is an organization formed to develop communal harmony among all the religions through Education. Many important personalities from the field on Education and from different religions are members of this organization and meet once in a month, conduct seminars of common interest under this organization in order to develop harmony between the religions and celebrate major festivals of all the religions combinedly every year.
  5. Office Bearer/Member of many other social, education and cultural associations in Mangalore and around.

BUILDER

He was one of the pioneers in the filed of apartment construction having started his building activities under the flagship “Peeci Associates” in the year 1980 itself. He was one of the first promoters in the district along with Mr. Lobo Prabhu and a few others. He has completed over 20 projects namely Shafath Apartments, Cifa Apartments, Shaan Apartments, I.K. Building, Mangala Apartments, Yemmekere housing complex, Safa Apartments, Falnir Manor, Attavar Palace, Peeci Court, Le-Meridian, Utility Royal Towers to name a few. He was Chairman of Builders Association & he was often the flag bearer of the Mangalore construction industry being a highly technically qualified person.
