D. I. Aboobakar Kairangala

D. I. Aboobakar Kairangala, basically hailing from D.G Katte of Kairnagala Village which is now in Mangalore Taluk., D. I Aboobakar Kairanala, widely known as D. I. Kairangala is son of D.H. Ismail and Beefathima.

He was a hobbyist writer from his childhood school days. He had started to write stories and poems in various Kannada periodicals in his tender age and had gained acclamation by the eminent writers. Later he stepped into the arena of media and caught the attention of the society. He led the renowned weekly Al Ansar for about 17 years. Before that, he ran a weekly newspaper called Al Muneer for a year. He also served as publisher of ‘Moilanji’ monthly and later as publisher of ‘Madarangi’ monthly for ten years.

He is not only involved in literature service but also engaged in social activities personally as well as representing in various organizations. He has contributed to the society about 60 books including 5 books written by himself through publishing houses ‘Udaya’ and ‘Honey’.

He has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Gurukuka Jnjana Sindhu’ award by the State Committee of ‘Gurukuka Kala Pratisthan’ for his outstanding literary services. He also been honoured at 25th ‘Daskshina Kannada Jilla Sashitya Sammelana’ for his literary activities by Dr. Veerendra Heggade. He has been appointed as president of ‘Tulunda Rakshanava Vedike of Ullal Taluk’ recently

His motivational thought ‘Munjane Matu’, which is being circulated on social media every day, became very popular and hundreds keep it as their WhatsApp status. The contents of the thought is so inspirational which is being admired by dignitaries in various fields. It has crossed 690 days as of now and still goes on.
