1954 – 2021

Haji K Beera Moideen, born in 1954 to Muhammad Haji and Khadija in Kanakamajalu of Sulya Taluk, was a prominent figure in his community. A B.Com graduate, he became a well-known leader of the Congress party and had a significant following in Sulya taluk, particularly within the cooperative sector. His early education included studies from 1st to 7th grade at Kanakamajalu Primary School, from 8th to 10th grade at Pernaje Government High School, and from PUC to B.Com degree at Saint Philomena’s College in Puttur.

Moideen was not only a document writer but also deeply involved in religious and socio-political activities. He served as a member of the Kanakamajalu Gram Panchayat for three terms, totaling 15 years, and was its president for two terms, totaling 10 years. His leadership extended to his role as President of the Kanakamajalu Primary Agriculture Farmers Cooperative Association and Vice President of TAPCMS. He was also a member of the Sulya Taluk Land Justice Board.

In addition, Moideen was the founder president of Sulya Taluk Jamiyyatul Falah and held positions as Vice President and Director of the Sulya Taluk Minority Multipurpose Cooperative Society. His political involvement included roles as Vice President of the Sulya Block Congress and Secretary of the Dakshina Kannada District Congress. His commitment to social service and leadership made him a beloved figure in Sulya.

Haji K Beera Moideen passed away on March 10, 2021, leaving behind his wife, three daughters, and one son.

ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಧುರೀಣ ಹಾಜಿ ಬೀರಾ ಮೊಯ್ದಿನ್ ಸುಳ್ಯ

ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕಿನ ಕನಕಮಜಲು ಎಂಬಲ್ಲಿನ ಮುಹಮ್ಮದ್ ಹಾಜಿ-ಖದೀಜಾ ದಂಪತಿಯ ಪುತ್ರನಾಗಿ 1954ರಲ್ಲಿ ಜನಿಸಿದ ಹಾಜಿ ಕೆ. ಬೀರಾ ಮೊಯ್ದಿನ್ ಬಿಕಾಂ ಪದವೀಧರ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ನಾಯಕರಾಗಿ, ಸಹಕಾರಿ ದುರೀಣರಾಗಿ ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿ ಬಳಗವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರು.
1ರಿಂದ 7ನೆ ತರಗತಿವರೆಗೆ ಕನಕಮಜಲು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಶಾಲೆ, 8ರಿಂದ 10ನೆ ತರಗತಿವರೆಗೆ ಪೆರ್ನಾಜೆ ಸರಕಾರಿ ಪ್ರೌಢಶಾಲೆ, ಪಿಯುಸಿಯಿಂದ ಬಿಕಾಂ ಪದವಿವರೆಗೆ ಪುತ್ತೂರಿನ ಸಂತ ಫಿಲೋಮಿನಾ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಲಿತರು.

ದಾಸ್ತಾವೇಜು ಬರಹಗಾರರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಾಜಿ ಕೆ. ಬೀರಾ ಮೊಯ್ದಿನ್ ಧಾರ್ಮಿಕ, ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ರಂಗದಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ಮೂರು ಅವಧಿಗೆ (15 ವರ್ಷ) ಕನಕಮಜಲು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ಎರಡು ಅವಧಿಗೆ (10 ವರ್ಷ) ಕನಕಮಜಲು ಗ್ರಾಮ ಪಂಚಾಯತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಕನಕಮಜಲು ಪ್ರಾಥಮಿಕ ಕೃಷಿ ಪತ್ತಿನ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಟಿಎಪಿಸಿಎಂಎಸ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಕ್ರಮ ಸಕ್ರಮ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಭೂ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಜಮೀಯ್ಯತ್ತುಲ್ ಫಲಾಹ್ ಸ್ಥಾಪಕಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ತಾಲೂಕು ಅಲ್ಪಸಂಖ್ಯಾತರ ವಿವಿಧೋದ್ದೇಶ ಸಹಕಾರಿ ಸಂಘದ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾಗಿ, ಸುಳ್ಯ ಬ್ಲಾಕ್ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾಗಿ, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಕಾರ್ಯದರ್ಶಿಯಾಗಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಸುಳ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಜನಪ್ರಿಯತೆ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದ ಹಾಜಿ ಕೆ. ಬೀರಾ ಮೊಯ್ದಿನ್ ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲೂ ತೊಡಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಪತ್ನಿ, ಮೂವರು ಪುತ್ರಿಯರು ಹಾಗೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು 2021ರ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 10ರಂದು ನಿಧನರಾದರು.
