Kunhi Ahmed Musliyar, affectionately known as “Beliye Ustad,” was born on January 14, 1946, to Abdul Rahman Musliyar and Khatijabi in Gulwadi, Kundapur taluk. With nearly four decades of dedicated service, he became a revered figure in the region, earning the moniker “G.K. Musliar” throughout Kundapur Taluk.

His journey into education began under the tutelage of his father, where he received his primary madrasa education. He furthered his studies at Kannnagar and Kanhangad, delving deep into the realms of Dars education. Subsequently, he embarked on his lifelong commitment to service, serving as Khatib/Mudaris at the Mishraraj Juma Masjid of Gulwadi for approximately 40 years until his passing.

G.K. Musliar was not just known for his scholarly pursuits but also for his gentle demeanor and melodious voice. His voice, reminiscent of a soothing melody, endeared him to people of all ages, from young children to the elderly, who found solace and affection in his presence. Even his call to prayer, or adhan, was a testament to his captivating voice, evoking love and admiration from all who heard it. In his leisure time, he immersed himself in the study of scriptures, further enriching his knowledge and understanding.

Having completed the sacred pilgrimage of Hajj in 2004, Ustad Kunhi Ahmed Musliar, fondly remembered as G.K. Ustad, left behind his beloved wife Dulaikha, along with two sons and four daughters, upon his passing at the age of 66 on March 17, 2012.
